What could go wrong?

We'll see Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier, Mount Rainier, Crater Lake, Redwoods, Yosemite, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, Grand Canyon, Carlsbad Canyon.

I'm kicking up my heels and melting the bottoms of my well-worm Birkenstocks against the fire. But it's all worth it because today I managed to pack my active family of four onto an RV for half of the summer to visit 14 National Parks. Yup, you read that right.

My nine-year-old is fine with missing anything short of a meet-and-greet with Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks. 11-year-old won't want to talk about some of this, but I canceled baseball games, gymnastics, basketball and biking camps, and visits from friends and family. Personally, I don't want to talk about missing Judge John Hodgman live in Chicago tomorrow night. But, anyway.

After our maiden three hour voyage, we're soaking in the culture of an RV park just off the interstate in rural Iowa. After packing an RV with everything we need to live for the next month, this may as well be a five-star hotel as far as I'm concerned. S'mores anyone?
